**Today's Hangover Sunday Soup**
Chicken Rice Porridge Soup (Bo Baw Sighk Moan) is a very traditional Khmer soup with shredded chicken, hard boiled quail eggs, scallions, cilantro and fried garlic in a savory chicken based rice porridge. Usually paired with a side of crispy Chinese fry bread, called Chao Quay, for sopping up the porridge.
The Story Behind The Soup..
This soup is known as the Poor man's soup, where a Little definitely can go a Loongg way. It is usually made from scrap leftover protein parts (generally innards, intestines, congealed pork blood cubes, etc) and whatever rice that was available during hard times. But Never Fear..! Chef Nyno Thol is not suffering hard times anymore so they will be a much heartier version at Sok Sab Bai Cambodian Cuisine! We sure do love our proteins at SSB! See you in tonight!
